The Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival is hiring a Development and Special Events Intern for the summer of 2023. The position assists the Festival’s Development Department with its various projects, activities, and special events and reports directly to the Director of Development. Responsibilities are varied and include working with the Development team on the Festival’s 50th Anniversary Opening Weekend Celebration, donor-stewardship and donor-cultivation events, and the Festival’s Closing Night Party. The position also assists the department with donor mailings and meeting preparation, maintaining donor files and other development materials, donor-benefit fulfillment, social media posts, and various special projects.
A successful applicant will have good interpersonal skills; a strong eye for detail; a desire to learn more about development and special-events planning; the ability to remain composed in fast-paced situations; strong writing, spelling, and proofreading skills; and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Experience with relational databases is strongly preferred. Having a personal vehicle is helpful.
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT
June 5–August 22, 2023. Forty hours per week (Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.—5 p.m.), although hours will vary when a special event takes place in the evening or on a weekend. Pay is $15 per hour, and housing in Santa Fe is provided.
