Stefanie Przybylska, bassoon


Stefanie Przybylska is the principal bassoonist with the New Mexico Philharmonic and the Santa Fe Symphony orchestras.  She has appeared as a featured soloist with those orchestras, as well as the New Mexico Symphony, in works by Mozart and John Williams.

Before moving to New Mexico, Stefanie was active as a freelance musician in Chicago where she performed frequently with the Chicago Symphony both in the US and on tour.

Stefanie Przybylska is the principal bassoonist with the New Mexico Philharmonic and the Santa Fe Symphony orchestras.  She has appeared as a featured soloist with those orchestras, as well as the New Mexico Symphony, in works by Mozart and John Williams.  Before moving to New Mexico, Stefanie was active as a freelance musician in Chicago where she performed frequently with the Chicago Symphony both in the US and on tour.  While still an undergraduate student at the Juilliard School in New York she was selected by national audition to participate at the Marlboro Music Festival in Vermont, under whose auspices she has both toured and recorded.  Closer to home, she has performed with the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival, the Placitas Artist Series, and at Sunday Chatter in Albuquerque.  Stefanie is a founding member of the Bosque Bassoon Band which is a group dedicated to performing chamber music informally at schools, hospitals, and growers markets.  In addition to these activities, Stefanie enjoys teaching her bassoon students and coaching her woodwind chamber music students for the Albuquerque Youth Symphony program.
